If you are thinking of great ideas for your kitchen garden windows, why not invest in cost-effective indoor gardening that will not merely upgrade the overall look of your kitchen oriel, but can also help you fostering positive spirit and a more relaxing, restful ambiance.

We are aware that devoting some time in nature is linked to reduced stress levels and relieves tension. As a matter of fact, Dutch researchers back in 2008 found out that patients with indoor plants in their rooms has lower stress levels than patients without them.

Yet, functional decorating for our garden windows has always been a struggle for most of us. We think that any plant can work in every home and we just select anything. The fact is: it’s not as easy as that.

That’s why we’ve rounded up some plants that are easy to take care of, effective at increasing oxygen and clearing out toxins for cleaner breathing air.

Why not start with the any of the following:

Money Plant.
It is believed that if a money plant grows well in your house it will bring wealth. This is a very easy to grow and it doesn’t even require much effort to maintain it. Its presence in your household is excellent for your health as it is very effective in removing formaldehyde from the air.

Aloe Vera Plant.
It grows best with lots of sun. It has a number of healing properties, from soothing skin burns and cuts to detoxifying the body, and it can aid in sustaining the air quality in your home. The plant can help clear the air of pollutants found in chemical cleaning products, and when the amount of harmful chemicals in the air becomes excessive, the plants’ leaves will display brown spots.

Peace Lily.
This amazing low-maintenance plant is worth keeping in every household. It does well in shade and cooler temperatures, and it can lessen the levels of a number of toxins in the air.

Snake Plant.
Also known as “mother-in-law’s tongue”. Researchers found out that this plant has strong facility to absorb toxins like nitrogen oxides and formaldehyde. It also can absorb a variety of chemicals present in the air. Unlike other plants it doesn’t release carbon dioxide at night.

Red-Edged Dracaena.
Known for being a vibrant plant. It also removes toxins including xylene, trichloroethylene and formaldehyde from the air. It thrives best in sunlight and can grow as much as 15 feet. This is a good choice plant for styling and filling up the spaces.

Philodendrons.
These are heart-shaped popular choice for indoor gardening. They are easy to grow and the glossy and unique colors of leaves. They’re easy to care for and good at absorbing formaldehyde. They grow with moderate water and some sunlight and they’ll be fine.

Bamboo Palm.
This is one of the top ranking in NASA’s list of clean-air plants. It’s also effective at clearing out benzene and trichloroethylene. In order to maximize growth it needs to be well-watered, in shade or indirect light.

Rubber Tree.
An air purifier and is one of the easiest plants to grow. It thrives even in dim lighting and cooler climates. The low-maintenance plant is a powerful toxin eradicating agent.

Realizing the benefits of placing some indoor greenery in our houses is never enough. It really pays to know the perfect plant to put in your garden windows and your expertise in taking care of these plants. Admittedly, we just need to be innovative and think out of the box because small things like these do matter.
